Phillip Lynn Peveto, 69, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on June 7, 1955, Lynn was a beloved son, father, husband, brother, and friend known for his deep love for his family and passion for bass fishing.
Lynn attended Bridge City High School, where he first developed lifelong friendships and interests. Shortly after, he began a distinguished career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a stockman in 1974. Over the years, Lynn excelled and took on various roles across Texas, eventually retiring from AT&T in 2014 as Area Manager-Network Engineering.
Beyond his professional life, Lynn was an avid fisherman and a member of the Dallas Telco Bass Club and McDonald’s Tournaments on Lake Sam Rayburn. He cherished teaching his children and grandchildren the joys of fishing, and despite health challenges in later years, he made cherished memories fishing with family members. His love for the sport was evident until his last day. On the trip to Arkansas Friday before his passing he remarked as we drove over a lake, “When we get back, I’m going to get my boat running”.
Lynn was a committed member of the Cowboy Church of Orange County since 2009, where he found a strong community of faith and friendship. His spiritual life was an important aspect of his character, bringing him comfort and strength throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ginny Peveto; daughters, Amber, Nikki and husband, Josh Stahl, Lindsey, and Lexie Peveto; sister, Sandy Drane; brother, Wayne Peveto and his wife, Netta; granddaughters, McKinley and Zayna Cain; grandsons, Adam Cain, Dillan Wragg, and Cole Stahl; and several nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Conis and Margaret Peveto.
