The Pinehurst Fire Dept. recently received a grant from CenterPoint Energy for a new gas meter and equipment needed for gas leaks. The department was one of only seven to receive the grant.
CenterPoint Energy, through its Community Safety Grant Program, awards grants to local government agencies within its service area for community safety equipment and projects. These grants can include funding for various safety equipment and gas monitoring devices as an example of eligible equipment.
