The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating an auto-pedestrian crash on state Highway 62, near Interstate Highway 10, that occurred Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 9:06 p.m., a Chevrolet SUV was traveling north. It is reported that a pedestrian entered the roadway and was struck by the Chevrolet in the inside north lane.
The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
The pedestrian was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Their identity is not immediately available.
