Patsy “Pat” Ruth Conway, age 77 of Vinton, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Sulpur, Louisiana. Services to honor Pat will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Eppler officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Miller Anex Cemetery in Starks, Louisiana. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 Pm to 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Pat was one of nine children, born to parents Bertha Peveto Huckaby and Otis Smiley Huckaby in Orange, Texas on January 27, 1944. She was a long time member of Mauriceville Church of Christ. Pat loved to cook for others and was the owner of Pat’s Dinner Bell for many years. She enjoyed spending time her friends on the bowling team. Pat was always ready for a trip with her sister, Paula, to visit their other siblings. She loved to have a house full of her loved ones and making her award winning gumbo.
She is preceded in death by her son Billy Ray Coward, parents, Otis and Bertha Huckaby and siblings; CW Huckaby, Ray Huckaby, Melvin Huckaby, Jaroy Huckaby, John Huckaby , Jerry Huckaby and Ann Killens.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Virgil Conway, daughter Beth Foster and her husband Darren of Orange, TX, sister Paula Ousley and her husband Tim of Orangefield, TX, four grandchildren; Deidra Meaux, RaeAnne Jones and her husband Thomas of Buna, TX, Scott Richard and his wife Jayce of Lumberton, TX and Ryan Coward of Fred, TX, 3 great-grandchildren; Hunter and Grant Richard and Raylie Jones, numerous nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.
Pallbearers to honor Pat will be Thomas Jones, Brian Ousley, Steven Ousley, Devin Bryan, Chase Bryan and Tim Ousley.
