West Orange Stark Elementary School has lost one of its favorite teachers. After a short but serious illness, Ashley Sanders passed away at the age of 47 following a tough decision by her family to take her off of life support on Sunday. Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D., has announced the results of the Orange County Vessel Turn-In Program (VTIP). During the free four-day vessel turn-in event April 5, 8, 9, 10 and 12, 2025, Orange County residents relinquished 71 boats totaling over 876 linear feet. Tuesday is the final day for Early Voting in the May 3 Election. There are four places in Orange County to early vote and you can vote at any of the four from 7am-7pm. As far as contested races, there are two seats on the Orange City Council. There are six running for mayor in Vidor along with two contested seats on council.
