I thought I knew the majority of the Korey Burris Story but I was way off. Back in the nineties Burris attempted suicide and lived to tell about it. The Ed Peveto Memorial Crawfish Boil fundraiser will be held Saturday May 24, 2025 at the Jewel Cormier Park off of 1442 in Orangefield, starting at 1:00pm. There will be a silent, Cajun and highest bidder auction. Crawfish, corn, potatoes and links will be provided. NO drinks are provided, so please bring your own. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team placed 11 athletes on the All-American Southwest Conference teams, released Tuesday. That included former LCM Bears Bailey Frenzel and Madeline Stephenson Frenzel, a senior first baseman, was named to the Second Team. She started in all 40 games this season. Frenzel hit .360 on the year, leading the Cru with a .604 slugging percentage. She ranked third on the team with 40 hits, adding a team-high 32 RBI.
