After beating LaGrange last weekend, the Bridge City Cardinals will be representing Orange County in the 4A D2 Region Finals this week against the Salado Eagles, who eliminated LCM in three games. The Cards have defeated Hudson (in one game), Hardin-Jefferson and the Leopards to reach the fourth round. The series will be a Best of Three beginning with Game One on Thursday at Waller HS at 7pm. The Bassmaster Elite Tournament on the Sabine River saw hundreds of changes in each of the four days. Changes in conditions, changing baits, changing positions in the standings. Only one thing didn't change. Pat Schlapper was the leader everyday and Sunday he got to hold up the big blue trophy for the first time as an Elite Champion.
