by Sheriff Colton Havard Crash at County Road 4181 and SH 12: On Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2:21 a.m., deputies with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 4181 and State Highway 12. The Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League have signed defensive lineman Quincy Ledet Jr. The six-foot-two, 315-pound from Orange (WOS) played the past two seasons at Texas Tech University where he made 42 total tackles, 0.5 sacks, and one interception.
