Around 9:45pm Monday night Orange Police received a call of a gunshot victim at a home located at 2000 6th Street which is near the North Early Learning Center. Officers and first responders found a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside the home. He was life flighted to a Beaumont hospital in serious condition. Family members have confirmed that he passed early Tuesday and identified the deceased as 62 year old Charles Declouet. First Church of the Nazarene in Orange held its 21st Annual Memorial Day Tribute at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Heritage Memorial Plaza on MLK Jr. Drive. U.S. Marine SGT Christopher Ryan Coats was the guest speaker. The Southeast Texas Color Guard and the Community Band of Southeast Texas were also featured during the event.
