Johnson was born July 11, 1938, to parents Alma and Fred Tinsley in Kilgore, TX, and passed away in the Outer Banks Hospital on September 12, 2025.  She was a diligent worker and always ready to learn something new. While working at B.F. Goodrich Chemical Plant in Orange, Texas, when they got their big computers, she went to Lamar University to learn computer languages and became the head of that department.
