Fire Labeled Suspicious
The Pinehurst Fire Dept. was called to the former senior citizen and rehab center located on Cardinal St. around 1:45pm Thursday. The fire was located in the attic of the facility. Bridge City has to win two games on Friday if they want to get to the State Championship game. The Wimberley Texans defeated BC 4-1 Thursday in Game One of their series in Navasota. Cause Still Undetermined
On Friday May 16 ten units of the Sunrise East Apartments were destroyed by fire and investigators are still trying to determine what might have started the blaze. The apartments are located on Patillo Circle in the Victory Gardens area off Hwy. 87, displacing approximately 35 people. They have been relocated to other means of housing.
