Robert was born in Orange, Texas on August 6th, 1945 to Tootie & Inez Hubbard Carpenter. He was a long-time resident of Port Arthur prior to moving to Kirbyville. He was a member of the Army Reserves, and a proud member of the Bishop Byrne High School class of 1958. Professionally, he worked in television production at KJAC Channel 4 in Port Arthur, and KPLC Channel 7 in Lake Charles.
