Area Sees Rain Wednesday
Most of the Orange area received an average of an inch of rain Wednesday afternoon causing some minor flooding and possibly a few accidents. A female officer with the Orange Police Dept. said she hydroplaned on Hwy. 87 north just past the Northway Shopping Center at approximately 3:15pm. She left the road on the east side and ended up in the woods near the railroad that runs parallel to the road. She walked away without serious injury. He entered the library with flammable material claiming he would injure himself and others but eventually surrendered to police.
