Sheriff’s Report for June 16, 2025by Sheriff Colton Havard Newton Parole Violator Arrest: On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 1:22 p.m., Sheriff Colton Havard was traveling on State Highway 87 near Hardy Street when he recognized a man riding a four-wheeler who was known to be a wanted fugitive. Sheriff Havard initiated a traffic stop on the four-wheeler and positively identified the man as Thomas Joe Hall, who was wanted by Texas Pardon and Parole for a parole violation. ALL-KOGT Baseball Team

Congratulations to all of the young men named to the 2025 All-KOGT Baseball Team. Orange County showed off with two district champions in Orangefield and Little Cypress-Mauriceville while Bridge City went the farthest, reaching the semi-finals in 4AD2. We can't disagree with the 18-4A Coaches who named Parker Seago of the Bears as their MVP. The senior lead off hitter batted .390 with an On Base Percentage of nearly .500. On the mound he was 12-0 with 93K's in 68 innings and an ERA of 0.824. Marco Bandiero is the Offensive MVP with a .400 avg. with 11 HR's and 41 RBI's.
