Mae Dell Cavanaugh, 86, of Vidor, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home. She was born in Call, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Vidor. Mae Dell worked as a bookkeeper for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, now known as the Shorkey Center, where her dedication and hard work left a lasting impact. Outside of her career, she enjoyed the simple joys of life—cooking, baking, fishing, and foraging. Firefighters were called to a home Monday evening on Broad Street in West Orange near Mello Plumbing. When they arrived they found the home fully engulfed. Carey William Green, 67, of Sherman, Texas passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Carey was born in Orange, Texas on November 20th, 1957 to William and Betty Green.
