LCM's Cullen Simon and Easton Stanley are headed to Appling, Georgia just outside of Augusta this week for the Jr. BassMaster Junior National Championship on Clark Hill Lake. They qualified through the Texas Bass Nation State Championship on Cedar Creek Reservoir in June. They will have official practice Monday-Wednesday, Thursday Rules/ Regulation Meeting. July 21, 2025by Sheriff Colton Havard Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle Warrant Arrest in Newton:On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 11:33 p.m., deputies with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, along with a Newton Police Officer, went to 525 County Road 3008 in Newton to attempt to serve a felony arrest warrant on Jacob Paul Wiltz. Upon arrival, deputies were able to place Wiltz into custody without incident and transport him to the Newton County Jail.
