Oscar David Price of Orange, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025. “Bunkey”, as he was known to family and friends, was born on April 24, 1951 in Cullman, Alabama to Hobert and Martha Price. He moved to the area in 1978, where he became known for his expertise in repairing foreign and domestic automobiles. In 2004, he married Karen Fox. New Stone For Music Legend
Wednesday morning a new headstone was unveiled on the grave of local music legend Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown at Hollywood Cemetery in Orange. The original monument was damaged during a hurricane and later vandalized. Organizer Stephen Watson along with family members were on hand for the unveiling. Watson also announced the largest donation came from another music legend. Being blessed with ninety-five years of life, Cora Morrow transitioned peacefully to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born in Basile, Louisiana, as Cora Pierre-Auguste to Etel and Denezia Cessaire Pierre-Auguste on May 24, 1930. Cora was the youngest girl of ten children. Car vs. Dump Truck in BC
Around 3:30pm Tuesday, there was a call of a reckless driver traveling down FM 1442 towards Bridge City. Authorities saw the white Mazda convertible and began to follow him at speeds reportedly above the speed limit. The Mazda approached the intersection of Roundbunch and FM 408 when he struck the back corner of a dump truck. Witnesses said he spun around several times before coming to a stop near the fence in front of the Bridge City ISD bus barn. The driver was taken to the hospital by Acadian with unknown injuries.
