Monday evening West Orange-Cove CISD welcomed Pamela Thomas to the WOC Police Dept. and promoted Shanter Norman (left) to Lieutenant. Thomas retired from DPS after 22 years in 2024. BC Man Dies In PN Crash
A Bridge City man died in an accident Monday morning after he was ejected from the vehicle he was driving. The accident happened at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and 8th Street in Port Neches. Christopher Eugene Denmon, 44, of Bridge City was pronounced dead at the scene. He struck another pickup before flipping over. The driver of the other pickup suffered minor injuries. Load Burns Up On I-10
Around 4:15am Monday morning an 18 wheeler carry in a load of lumber caught fire after the brakes overheated. The rig came to a stop on I-10 westbound near mile marker 877. The driver was able to disconnect his tractor and pull it away from the trailer before it caught fire. Orange firefighters were able to quickly extinguished the blaze before the trailer completely burned.
