Man Survives Fiery Crash
Around 3:30am Sunday a Dodge Charger was traveling north on Hwy. 62 when it lost control, left the roadway, rolled several times before catching fire. The accident happened between FM 105 and the Tulane overpass. The driver was able to get out and he was taken to the hospital by Acadian. OCESD 2 arrived and put out the fire. Champ Gives Back
The third annual Back to School Bash sponsored by the Shock Foundation took place Saturday at Lions Park. Shock Foster, the WBC Super Featherweight Champ, said they provided backpacks and school supplies for 600 kids. "I didn't have this when I was a kid so it's my chance to give back to the community.
