On Thursday, August 7, a VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) Measure was put in place for the Sabine River North of Shell Island and will be closed off to all commercial and recreational traffic through August 21, 2025. During this time, Troy Construction will be installing a pipeline across the waterway from Shell Island to the marsh line as seen in the image attached. Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30pm Orange Police were called to the 2200 block of Westway for shots fired.
