Orange County ESD 3 and 4 helped out Newton County with a trailer fire Monday morning. The trailer was fully involved when they arrived to County Road 4950 around 11am. Multi-Jurisdictional Sex Offender compliance check:On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, along with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies conducted a sex-offender compliance check throughout Newton County. Throughout the course of the compliance check, several offenders were found to be out of compliance. Information gained from the compliance checks will be submitted to a judge for potential arrest warrants to be issued against these offenders.
