As the map shows below, District 21 covers all of Orange and Jasper County and part of Jefferson County. DuPont Splits Into Three
Five years ago DOW took over the Dupont Sabine River Plant in Orange that had been here since the 1950's. Now Dupont is splitting again, this time into three different businesses. DuPont also named CFO Lori Koch as CEO beginning June 1 as the current CEO Ed Breen becomes executive chairman to join the board. Grant Makes The Right Call
A love for the game of softball has made Olivia Grant want to be a coach. Her love of the game has also made her a pretty good umpire too. Grant graduated from Orangefield in 2021 and was good enough to play for Navarro Junior College. She was looking for some summertime work and decided to talk to Dan Harris, a longtime TASO (Texas Assoc. of Sport Officials) umpire. Harris trained Grant and cut her loose, umpiring little league to high school games. Orange County Aggie Moms recently awarded a total of $2,000 in scholarships for Orange County high school Class of 2024. This year’s recipients are Blaine Lenard and Carys Wolfe, each receiving $1,000. Blaine Lenard is graduating Magna Cum Laude from Orangefield High School. He is the son of Justin & Emily Forse and Dustin & Jessica Lenard. Bobcats To Play In Region Final
The Orangefield Bobcats are advancing to the Region III Final for the first time in the Tim Erickson era after beating Rockdale 9-2 Thursday at Cypress Woods HS. The offense collected 11 hits and they used the bunt to near perfection. In the first inning alone they loaded the bases on three straight bunts. Logan Cheek and Kane Smith both went 3-4.
