Jo Ellen Oldbury, 63, of Mauriceville, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 29th, 2024. A longtime resident of Mauriceville, Jo Ellen was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Mauriceville. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and had a fondness for Sonic diet cokes. UPDATE: TxDOT reopened the area of I-10 Tuesday morning after putting a barrier over the crack to keep vehicles off the crack. From Beaumont Police: Due to a significant crack in the roadway, I-10 at Washington (Southbound, toward Houston) is currently closed. After recent heavy rains the Trinity River Authority has announced that the Lake Livingston Dam is under a "potential failure watch." June 28, 2024 - The Trinity River Authority (TRA) is confirming that the spillway of the Lake Livingston Dam (spillway) has been adversely impacted by the recent heavy rainfall and flooding in the dam’s drainage area. State Parks Pass To Increase
The Texas State Parks Pass, which gives passholders and their guests unlimited free day-use access to all 88 Texas State Parks, is increasing its annual price from $70 to $95 on Sept. 1.
