WOC Bus Involved In Accident
Around 3:30pm a West Orange-Cove school bus was involved in an accident near the intersection of 16th Street and Interstate 10. Fortunately no students were injured. The new bus collided with a Ford Explorer near Lincoln Drive. Those at the scene said the Ford failed to yield the right of way. One Arrested After Chase
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 17000 block of the eastbound service road of IH-10 in Vidor. After initially coming to a stop, the driver of the vehicle suddenly accelerated and fled from the deputies at a high rate of speed. As the deputies pursued the fleeing vehicle, the suspect drove recklessly along the eastbound lanes of the interstate, creating extreme danger for other motorists and law enforcement.
