Stats: The Lamar Cardinals carried the ball 428 times for 1,628 yards and 16 touchdowns last season. Big Red averaged nearly 4.0 yards per carry and 148.0 yards per game. The Cardinals ranked fifth in the Southland last year in rushing but trailed the league leaders (Houston Christian) by fewer than 11 yards per game. Chase Runs Through Orange (Update)
UPDATE: The suspect is identified as 38-year-old Brittany Nichole Miller of Onalaska. It was confirmed that Miller had a felony warrant out of Polk County. Miller is charged with evading in a motor vehicle, a felony offense, and other charges are likely in this case. A chase went through Orange County Saturday and it could've ended much worse than it did. Reports say Beaumont Police attempted to stop a woman for trying to cash a stolen check and she took off, heading east on I-10.
