Second Family Dollar Closing
Few would argue that Orange County has more dollar stores per capita than either Jefferson or Hardin County. But our lead (tongue in cheek) took a hit with the announcement of another Family Dollar Store closing in the Northway Shopping Center. They have been there for about five years. This comes after another Family Dollar in the 1300 block of 16th St. closed two months ago. Back in March, Dollar Tree, which owns the Family Dollar … [Read more...] about Second Family Dollar Closing

School Bus: When to Stop
It is that time of year again, and here is your WHEN TO STOP FOR A SCHOOL BUS refresher course. Orange Police Captain Keith Longlois says, "The short answer is. If there is pavement and road stripes between you and the school bus, you have to stop. If there is some sort of median or barrier between you and the school bus you may proceed. For example. On 16th Street in Orange, the opposing lanes are separated by a left turn lane. The left turn lane is not a barrier or a median. It is pavement. All lanes of traffic on 16th Street must stop for a school bus." Longlois adds, … [Read more...] about School Bus: When to Stop
