The Bridge City Girl's Powerlifting Team put up a great fight at the Regional Meet held in Palacios, Texas of Thursday, February 26 and had two qualify for State. Junior, Emily Warren came in third place and is a state qualifier because she lifted a total weight of 805 pounds. On Friday at 5:25 a.m., a white male entered the Kwick Stop convenience store located at 1427 Strickland Drive in Pinehurst. He approached the clerk and demanded cash from the register. His right hand was concealed in his clothing in a manner indicating he was holding a firearm. After receiving an unknown amount of U.S. Currency, he exited the business and left on foot. The Orange man facing a charge of murder who did not show up for his court date, has been captured in Starks, La. KPLC says on Friday authorities captured Joshua Latham. who is set to stand trial in connection with the death of a Sulphur woman in 2013. Jury selection had been set to start Monday morning for Latham. Detectives from the Orange Police Department had been set to testify in the trial. Father Jonathan, mother Jennifer, son Jonathan David, and daughters Jenna and Jaxi are walking across America for their Jucan Foundation.
