46-year-old Shannon Lewandowski of Orange was seriously injured Monday morning about 9 in a head-on crash on FM 1006 by the DuPont plant entrance. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports she had to be extricated and was then taken by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Trooper Stephanie Davis said that on Monday afternoon Lewandowski was undergoing surgery.
