UPDATE: Morning Accident on Chem Row
46-year-old Shannon Lewandowski of Orange was seriously injured Monday morning about 9 in a head-on crash on FM 1006 by the DuPont plant entrance. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports she had to be extricated and was then taken by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Trooper Stephanie Davis said that on Monday afternoon Lewandowski was undergoing surgery. Trooper Davis said Lewandowski was traveling northbound in a Ford pickup truck and for some reason crossed the dividing line and hit a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction. The Little Cypress – Mauriceville Honey Bears Drill Team attended a ‘home camp’ last week to learn choreography for their field routines for the upcoming 2015 football season. The Honey Bears hosted two fantastic choreographers from the Academy of Performing Arts in Magnolia, Texas for the camp.
