Despite early weather challenges, Texas dove hunters can look forward to a strong 2025 season. Spring population surveys conducted by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) staff found mourning dove numbers continue to trend near historic highs. OCSO Update On Homicide
On August 21, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding an unresponsive female at the 300 Block of Foxglove in Vidor. Upon arrival, deputies found Bami Elizabeth Carmane, 61 years of age, deceased inside the residence. After surveying the scene, deputies suspected Bami’s death was not due to natural causes. Adrian Ceasar Echevarria, 48, who was recently released from prison, was interviewed and is a person of interest in Bami’s death investigation.
