On October 1, 1969, the Verrett and Evans families were blessed with a beautiful and healthy baby boy whom they christened as Dewayne Keith. They were ecstatic to have this precious bundle of joy. Car Rolls Into Water
Monday afternoon dispatchers called for first responders after a vehicle was found upside down in the water off Bailey's Road in Bridge City. Fortunately all three occupants, including two teenagers, were able to get out of the Ford four door. DPS Troopers arrested the driver, 37 year old Benjamin Moore, and charged him with DWI and two counts of child endangerment. Two From OC Indicted
Two people from Vidor were indicted this week by a Jefferson County Grand Jury. Back in April officers were patrolling what they described as an area known for narcotic trafficking and prostitution, the Heritage Inn on I-10, and they observed two people sitting in a vehicle in the back of the parking lot. They occupants never got out of the vehicle and officers considered the situation suspicious so they made contact with the two individuals. The K-9 was called in and found probable cause to search. Accident Takes Mans Life
On September 17, 2024, shortly before 8:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop D began investigatinga two-vehicle fatality crash on U.S. Highway 90 near I-10. The crash claimed the life of 35-year-old Kelly Fox of Osyka, Mississippi. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2012 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by Fox, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 90.
