Woman Steals Money
A 23-year-old woman was arrested for strong-arm robbery after she complained to a store clerk about 8-liner machines and then took money. She told police the clerk grabbed her and she hit him to get him off of her. Police went to the Honey Stop at 1012 W. Park Avenue at 11:48 Sunday night after a 9-1-1 call. Officer J.E. OC Energy Efficiency Program approved
The Commissioners Court approved entering into an energy efficiency agreement with Way Company during its meeting Monday afternoon. Way Company based out of Vidor was awarded the agreement over Schneider Electric with offices worldwide because Way is local and would hire local people to work in the program. The Commissioners discussed the county policy during a workshop Monday morning which allows employees working for the county to voluntarily terminate their employment with the county and then rescind that decision.
