Keion Hancock is the only player who has seen significant playing time who is out right now for the Mustangs. Bobcats Facing Hawks, Injuries
The final score is not the only factor that determines a win or a loss in football. The Orangefield Bobcats lost a tough one to Houston Worthing on the scoreboard and almost lost a lot more with injuries to 2 key players. Two way starters Matthew Watkins and Cale Puckett were both on the sidelines with injuries as the game ended Friday. Carnival Open Thru Saturday
KOGT salutes the Lions Club of Orange, Little Cypress, Bridge City, Vidor and the Noon Lions Club for their time and effort to make the Annual Lions Club Carnival a success. Last week the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears mauled the Splendora Wildcats 56-7 for their first win in district. Coach Randy Crouch is very proud of the Bears effort, but now they must get ready for another district opponent. The Cleveland Indians and their quarterback D. D. Jackson occupy the thoughts of Coach Crouch. Jackson is an outstanding quarterback in Crouch’s opinion who is difficult to tackle and carries the football a lot for the Indians. Bridge City Superintendent Mike King has told the school board and the staff that he will be leaving. In a statement to KOGT he said, "It’s with a mixture of sadness and excitement to announce that I will be starting a new phase of my career in February 2016 working in the private sector with school districts and companies across the state. Police believe a 78-year-old woman may have suffered from a medical problem Wednesday about 1 p.m. when she lost control of the SUV she was driving. The SUV went off the roadway on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and rolled over. It landed on the roof in a field near United Methodist Church. Orange Police Captain Keith Longlois said Deloris Fippen told officers she had become dizzy before she lost control. Acadian Ambulance took her to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Man Dies In Accident
A 23-year-old Louisiana man died in a one-car crash Wednesday afternoon off Interstate 10 at the Simmons Drive exit. He crashed the car into a metal beam from an old highway sign off the access road about 1 p.m. The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the man as Jordan Pinchon from Carencro, Louisiana. Trooper Stephanie Davis said he was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10. He took the Simmons Drive exit at a high rate of speed and lost control of the 2007 Chevrolet sedan.
