by Margaret Toal Blood Road is the closest thing to a ghostly legend in Orange. Several people let me know you could travel down Childers Road off DuPont Drive and not see the blood. But on the way back, splatters of blood would show up. Yank Peveto said the "blood" was red and splattered at different places along the road. LCM Cheer Clinic A Success

Cardinals Manhandle Bears

   LCM 7 7 7 14 35  BC 21 21 7 13  62 The Bridge City Cardinals scored early and often Friday night as they beat the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears 62-35 for Homecoming. The Bears fumbled the kickoff and one play later quarterback Camden Dubois carried the ball 23 yards around the right end for a 7-0 lead. LCM responded on their second play from scrimmage when Sam King ran for 61 yds. to tie the game before a full minute had run off the game clock. Mustangs Cage Bobcats

WOS 0 16 21 0- 37 OF     3  0  0  0 - 3 West Orange-Stark celebrated homecoming Friday night at Dan R. Hooks Stadium as the Mustangs rallied for 37 unanswered points in the second and third quarters to defeat the Orangefield Bobcats 37-3. The Mustangs remain undefeated in district heading into next week’s contest with Hamshire-Fannett which won its only district game so far. Deweyville Lady Pirates defeated the Anahuac Lady Panthers Friday night in 3 games (25-10, 25-22, 25-6) to run their record to 31-4 (9-2 in district). The Lady Pirates were led by Gabby Dupuy's 10 aces, 17 dig night and Madyson Berry with 6 aces and 16 serves in a row in game 3. Kennidee Willis had 14 kills and 10 digs. Brooke Smith tallied 8 kills while Mallory Hand accumulated 7 kills and 3 blocks. Shaylin Dupuy dished out 25 assists and 6 digs. Silsbee sweeps Bridge City. Cards now 3-6 in district.
