The City of Pinehurst is the only entity in Orange County that has seen dropping sales tax revenues so far in 2015. The Texas Comptroller's Office sent monthly sales tax payments last week covering September sales. Pinehurst is down by $48,718 from the first nine months of 2014. City sales tax figures for September are: Orange County: $471,278 for the month, $4,754,864 for the year to date, up $463,160 for the first nine months. The Shell convenience store on Edgar Brown Drive at Bluebonnet was robbed by a man carrying a rifle at 1:14 a.m. Saturday. Orange police later arrested a man driving a car described as being at the robbery. Orange Detective Captain Cliff Hargrave said the man, Dylan Michael Gray, was arrested for misdemeanor possession of synthetic marijuana. Captain Hargrave said the driver of a tanker truck delivering gasoline to the store saw the robber and another man who was the get-away driver. She graduated from Orangefield High School in 1951. She married Harold Austin Scales on October 24, 1952. They worked beside each other for 63 years raising their family.
