The Shell convenience store on Edgar Brown Drive at Bluebonnet was robbed by a man carrying a rifle at 1:14 a.m. Saturday. Orange police later arrested a man driving a car described as being at the robbery. Orange Detective Captain Cliff Hargrave said the man, Dylan Michael Gray, was arrested for misdemeanor possession of synthetic marijuana. Captain Hargrave said the driver of a tanker truck delivering gasoline to the store saw the robber and another man who was the get-away driver. She graduated from Orangefield High School in 1951. She married Harold Austin Scales on October 24, 1952. They worked beside each other for 63 years raising their family. Carthage Too Much For BC
The Carthage Bulldogs ended Bridge City's season Saturday night 44-20 in the first round of the playoffs. The Bulldogs made very few mistakes while the Cardinals had problems holding on to the football with 3 turnovers. Carthage got off to a quick start, leading 24-0, and 24-7 at the half, rolling up 245 yards to BC's 70. In the second half the Cardinals scored first to make it 27-14 and got the crowd back into it.
