Ronald Wayne Kennon, 62, of Vidor, passed away on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A lifelong resident of Vidor, Ronald was known for his deep love of family and fully embraced his role as Pop-Pop, cherishing every moment with his grandchildren. He was an avid fan of sports, especially when it came to cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Music was a constant in his life, with ACDC and Elvis Presley being among his favorites. Garrett On Trial-Update
Update-Tuesday a jury found Garrett guilty of manslaughter in the shooting death of Levi. She was sentenced to ten years probation and a fine of $10,000.- (Sept.16) Shontasia Garrett, 29, is expected to be in an Orange County courtroom this week as a jury was selected on Monday. She's charged with the murder of 25 year old Dalvin Levi. On April 1, 2023, at about 2:30 AM, the City of Orange Police Department was dispatched to 1800 Church Street in reference to a “shots fired” call.
