Last season the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs knocked on the door and finished just out of the playoffs. Coach Randy Ragsdale has his entire starting five back from last year’s squad including star Eriel Jordan. Ragsdale reminds that Jordan was injured late in the next to last game last year and just returned to the lineup in late November. In her first game back Eriel scored 18 points. Can Drive A Success
The 6th Annual Granger Chevrolet/KOGT Radio Can Drive was another successful event thanks to all of the great people and businesses that came by Tuesday morning. Although all donations to Salvation Army and Orange Christian Services were appreciated, there was a friendly competition of who brought the most food. Once again the Kids and teachers at Little Cypress Intermediate and Little Cypress Elementary delivered the most, so much that they had to borrow Orange Stationer's box truck to deliver it. Wrinkle Leads Young Bobcats
The Orangefield Bobcats were a young basketball team last season, and a year later they may be even younger. With only two seniors on the varsity there will be four sophomores and one freshman expected to see playing time at Orangefield. Coach Rea Wrinkle provides the names of the returning varsity players for the Bobcats. Wrinkle played several sophomores last year including Payton Lathrop and Wesley Frillou who will see more playing time this season. LCM Drama Hits The Road
The award winning Little Cypress-Mauriceville drama program is taking their act on the road this weekend. Cory Broom the drama instructor for LC-M High School left with his students Wednesday to go to Dallas. Broom said the drama students are headed to the Texas State Thespian Festival which will be attended by six thousand theater students. Each year Bridge City ISD high school or middle school students participate in creating the district's annual Christmas card. This year's card designs were submitted by middle school students.
