Jack Thomas Denison was born March 8, 1926 in Florida and died December 24, Christmas Eve 2015. He lived in Asheville, North Carolina and Los Angeles, California. Tom was commissioned as an officer in the Navy after completing his bachelor degree at UCLA. He was stationed on the LST 596 during the war and shortly thereafter. After finishing his Doctorate Degree in Chemistry from UCLA he joined E.I. Du Pont de Nemours as a physical chemist in Wilmington Delaware. West Orange-Stark came to Bridge City riding a two-game district winning streak. BC Student Council Travels
Nineteen Student Council Leaders travelled to the Westin Galleria-District 17 Winter Retreat, January 8-9. Students were challenged by nationally renowned speaker Houston Kraft to Choose Love and lead others by serving others. Thursday, the Bridge City Powerlifting Team hosted their Invitational Meet. Overall the girls placed second and the boys placed third. Student Brings Fake Gun To School
Late Wednesday afternoon, January 13, 2016, administrators at Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School received a tip that a student had a ”fake” gun that he was trying to sell on campus. The situation was investigated immediately; it was determined that the student was trying to sell a BB pistol and large knife. Additionally, the student was in possession of alcohol. According to protocol, the Sheriff’s Department was called and the student was arrested. Michael Hoke
Michael Hoke had the official honors to prove he was an outstanding science teacher, but the certificates can never show the love of learning he instilled in thousands of students. Hoke died Wednesday, January 13, at the age of 67 after dedicating his adult life to preserving nature and teaching future generations to be kind to the world.
