A 28-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the foot early Saturday morning, Orange police report. Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the injury was with a .22 caliber rifle that the man was playing with. Acadian Ambulance took him to Beaumont St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. The shooting was reported at 12:47 a.m. Saturday at a house on Circle P in Roselawn. Two different stores had grab-and-go shoplifters during the weekend period. SUV Hits Stopped 18-Wheeler
At 11pm Monday night a Ford Explorer ran into the back of a stopped 18 wheeler on the westbound feeder road off I-10 near Crawdad's at MLK. The driver of the 18 wheeler had turned on his hazard lights and was placing emergency cones out when a 1996 white Ford Explorer, driven by Ricky Wayne Kirkland, 53, of Bridge City, drove into the back of the trailer that was carrying lumber. Kirkland and his passenger, 46 year old Terri Kirkland, were taken to a Beaumont hospital with unknown injuries.
