Arrest Made In Shooting
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting in the 400 block of Kennedy Drive in Vidor. Upon arrival, deputies located a 64-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Keith Otis Michael McCord, 57, of Vidor, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at his residence. A native of Nederland, TX, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. A 64 year old woman was shot Monday. She told dispatchers she was shot through her window. The call came in around 2pm from the 400 block of Kennedy Drive which is located in the Pine Forest area on the west side of Orange County. The Sheriff's Department provided little information as they continue their investigation. The woman was able to give deputies a description of the man.
