Cogbill Competing In Rodeo Finals
Cade Cogbill, a student at Mauriceville MS qualified to represent Texas at the National Jr. High Rodeo Finals after competing last week in Gonzales, Tx. at the Texas State Finals. He competed in chute dogging, goat tying, calf roping, & ribbon calf roping. He placed 4th in the state in chute dogging & 5th in the state in boys goat tying. Each state only allows the top 4 contestants to represent their home state at the National Finals. BC Season Ends In Bottom Of Seventh
Two outs from victory, the Bridge City Cardinals saw their season come to an end Saturday night in a 6-5 loss to the Robinson Rockets at the University of Houston. The Cards came out swinging in the first inning scoring three runs on four hits, the biggest being a two run homer by Tod McDowell. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Harold Tally and his first wife Opal Tally in 2007. He and Opal reared four children, three sons Ronnie D. Tally, Jerry A. Tally, James B. Free Meals For Kids
Once again, free breakfasts and lunches will be served during the summer to Orange County youth starting Wednesday. The West Orange-Cove CISD Child Nutrition and Food Department is sponsoring the summer feeding for kids age 18 and younger. The meals will be served to everyone that age, regardless of where they live or their families’ income level. The meals will be served at two different locations.
