Otto Frank McDivitt, (92), of Orange, TX, passed away on October 12, 2024, after a brief illness. Born on August 11, 1932 in Bradford, PA, the son of the late Jess and Ruth Heidrich McDivitt. He married Mary Ann Bish McDivitt who predeceased him on April 15, 2024. After graduating from Port Allegany High School Otto served in the Marines for two terms, including deployment in the Korean War from 1951-1954. Note: As of this post, the investigation is ongoing and this story will continue to be updated. A man driving a white Dodge pickup is dead after leading police on a chase Tuesday morning. It started with a disturbance at a home in Bridge City. The man left the scene driving towards Orange. The chase started near the Golden Triangle Polymers plant on Hwy. 87 after the man drove thru a heavy haul construction area, striking one of the patrol vehicles. Monday morning around 11:30am, OCESD #4 was called to Kobs Korner Dr. in McLewis for a house fire. Chief Kelly Moore said when firefighters arrived they saw flames coming from the roof in the back of the home. The fire was put out with assistance from Little Cypress and Vidor with Deweyville on standby. The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire.
