Water Added To Lions Park
Monday the Greater Orange Chamber held a ribbon cutting as the Orange Lions Club donated a new water fountain to Lions Park. The city installed it near the playground. It not only offers a drink from the fountain but it also has a feature to fill up water bottles. Another good weekend for Orange County and Deweyville football teams as everyone won on Friday night. The Orangefield Bobcats dominated Kirbyville 49-14 to move to 4-0 in district. The game started with Kirbyville recovering an onside kick, but the defense would stand tall and hold them to a three and out. After the punt the Bobcats would take over on their 15 yard line and go on an 8 play drive that was capped off by a Zach Morrow 26 yard touchdown run. West Orange-Stark graduate, Ryan Ragsdale, has been named the head baseball coach at 6A Katy Paetow High School. Paetow (Pay-tow) is a part of the Katy ISD. It's his first head coaching job. Ragsdale was a football and baseball standout at WOS as a member of the state finalist baseball team in 2015, and a member of a state finalist and two state championship football teams.
