Marcos Abrego Jr. 82, of San Antonio Texas, passed away on Thursday Oct 17th 2024 at his home after several years of illness. Born in Orange TX on May 15th 1942. He was the son of Marcos Abrego Sr & Cenovia Garza Abrego. After serving our country in the United States Marine Corp (Ooohrah) Marcos started working for Gulf Oil and retired in 1993 from Chevron Phillips. Marcos spent a good bit of his retirement volunteering at the YMCA in Port Arthur counseling young adults. Fire Does Heavy Damage
OCESD2 firefighters responded to a house fire in the 2900 block of Strong Rd. Monday. The call came in around 3pm. When they arrived they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the home. The homeowner said they could hear a noise and then the power dimmed. She checked her outdoor cameras and saw the home on fire. Everyone got out safely. 15 Year Old Dies At Fox Run
On Sunday, October 20th, 2024, at 5:56 P.M., officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to Fox Run Apartments located at 2600 Allie Payne Road in reference to a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 15-year-old female had sustained a gunshot wound and was deceased. Other juveniles from the scene were identified and cooperating. Bridge City's Ava Anderson and LCM's Chase peacock qualified for the State Cross Country Meet at the Region 3 4-A Regional Cross Country Championship Meet held Monday in Huntsville.
