Blanchard Honored For Play
Travon Blanchard, a 2013 WOS grad, was honored twice following his last game. He was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week and the Nagurski Defensive Player of the Week as his Baylor Bears beat Oklahoma State 35-24 Saturday. Blanchard had 11 tackles and a career-high 4.5 tackles for loss. He also recorded one forced fumble, a fumble recover and a pass breakup to complete his night. Tuesday Accident Ties Up Traffic
At approximately 2:45p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of a multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County. The crash occurred approximately two (2) miles west of the Texas-Louisiana border. A 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck towing a utility trailer was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 near the Texas-Louisiana border. Orange police are investigating a Friday night home invasion robbery at a unit in the Terrance Vine Apartments on Meeks Drive. Officers went to the apartment at 8:49 p.m. Friday. A man and woman in the apartment said two young men, one threatening them with a pistol, forced their way inside. The two robbers took cash and prescription pills before fleeing. Also on Friday night, a man returning to his house in the Old Orange Historic District came home to find a burglar inside.
