Orangefield Saving Bus Money
Orangefield ISD has found a way to save the district money and they're getting help from men who are behind bars. The Texas Department of Corrections has a program where they refurbish school buses and Orangefield just got their "trial run" back and Superintendent Dr. Stephen Patterson says he's so impressed it won't be their last. Bridge City firefighters responded to a fire Sunday at 241 Joel Street which is off of West Roundbunch, about 2.5 miles from Texas Ave. The fire was believed to have started in the back of the house. No one was injured. Friday morning a woman turned on a fan at her home on Ironwood in the Cypress Bayou neighborhood in Little Cypress and left it on as she left the house to run an errand.
