New Tower Going Up
Installation has started on a 125-foot tall communication tower in the Orange Police Department's parking lot. The tower is part of a regional emergency services communication system through the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission. The system can serve as a backup to the 911 phone system. The Orangefield Bobcats are coming off an exciting win last week against Hardin-Jefferson. The victory actually allows the Bobcats to play for the district championship this Friday night against the West Orange-Stark Mustangs at F. L. McClain Stadium. Orangefield Coach Josh Smalley says the Mustangs operate the Spread out of the shotgun and are loaded with talent. Mr. Bobby Keith Reel, Sr. age 82, of Starks, Louisiana died on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Born in Dorcas, West Virginia on April 22, 1934.
