The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears dug themselves into a deep hole they could not crawl out of at the East Chambers Basketball Tournament. The Buna Lady Cougars took the lead early and then outlasted the determined LC-M girls 36-27 Wednesday in Winnie. The first 3:39 of the game proved to be the difference. Vidor Man Killed Monday (Update)
Update: The Texas Department of Public Safety has filed intoxication manslaughter charges against a Vidor man who was driving a pickup truck that hit and killed a pedestrian Monday night. 31-year-old Christopher Morgan has been charged with the second degree felony. The charge carries a prison sentence of two to 20 years plus a maximum fine of $10,000. A man was arrested early Saturday morning after kicking in large window at a Green Avenue business. Orange police report the man cut his leg and had to be taken to the hospital emergency room for stitches before being taken to jail. Officer D.B. Beginning January 1, 2017, anyone in the City of Vidor seeking a burn permit will need to go to Orange County Emergency Services District #1, located at 2351 Highway 12, Vidor. TxDOT Changes Lane Back On Service Road
Less than three weeks ago the Texas Department of Transportation opened the new extensions to the Interstate 10 service roads from 16th Street to Bob Hall Road across the railroad tracks. At that time KOGT reported the changes for drivers operating their vehicles at the intersection of 16th Street or State Highway 87 and the new service roads of the interstate.
