The Orange County Sheriff's Office said a missing man is home and not much information is known about the time he was gone. Spokeswoman Janois Grizzaffi said no crime was committed and so the case has been closed. The sheriff's office issued a missing person bulletin Tuesday afternoon for 44-year-old Ricky D. Smith. He was last seen Saturday night walking along the roadway at FM 1136 and Interstate 10. He had been riding with a friend and asked the friend to stop the vehicle so he could get out. Theft On Carter Street (Video)
On Dec. 31, 2016, Orange Police took a report of theft in the 1600 block of Carter Street. Two unknown suspects took a Pagoda Lantern statue from the front yard of the residence. Carter St. is located off 16th St. between McDonald's and The Hut. The victim’s residence had security video that captured the theft. Ricky D. Smith, the 44-year-old man who had been missing since Saturday night, has been found alive. According to Smith's sister, he was found "tired, weak, dirty and hungry, but overall great."
