The NFL recently announced the 25 semi-finalists for the Class of 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame and Earl Thomas of Orange made the list. The list started with 167 nominees and the selection process will continue as the modern-era players are further reduced to a list of 15 finalists, which will be announced in December. On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the Vidor Police Department was notified of a 23 year old man picking up and transporting a 12-year-old female to Lake Charles, LA. The child was returned to her residence the same morning. The case started after the girls mother notified police about her sneaking out. A person driving by a home on 30th Street in Pinehurst Monday afternoon called 911 after seeing fire and smoke coming from a home. Firefighters arrived to find a travel trailer and a truck on fire, as well as a shed next to it and brush nearby. Pinehurst FD was assisted by West Orange and OCESD 3 & 4. The heat from the fire also did some damage to a shed on another property. One firefighter had to be taken to the hospital after he was shocked while fighting the fire.
