Daniel Aaron Begnaud, 37, of Buna died Monday, December 23, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont surrounded by those who loved him. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, Dec. 28, at Central Baptist Church in Buna with burial at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Friday at the church. Around 3:42pm Monday a deputy with the Orange County Sheriff's Department noticed a white Cadillac driving recklessly and attempted to make a traffic stop near the intersection of Hwy. 87 and Hwy. 62. The SUV would not pull over and instead lead law enforcement north on Hwy. 87 at speeds of 100 mph towards Orange. The two occupants took a left on FM 105 and ran through the Winona Park neighborhood behind Porky's Convenience Store before getting back on 105.
